Sonar platinum slow?

Hi everyone!
Recently I've upgraded to Sonar Platinum from Sonar 8.5! I've noticed there's a lot more "latency".. For example when I press the space-bar in Sonar Platinum, it needs sensibly more time than Sonar 8.5 to effectively play the project (1-2 seconds)!
Pretty much the same for operations like create plugins, tracks, etc..

Anybody else have the same issue?

When you install a new version, perhaps some defaults changed...spend some time going through Preferences, that may help.

    Computer specs?

I could run 8.5 on a single core Pentium 4 with 2 GB memory just fine.  But when I upgraded to the Sonar X gen, it convinced me that it was about time to upgrade my hardware.

DAW: CbB; Sonar Platinum, and others ...
