To me, the drums are a bit muffled.  the eq is off, but I can't say for sure where. Since it sounds like this is a work in progress I look forward to hearing the next iteration.

    I like your playing.

I think when you get your monitors your mixes will be getting better too.

The arrangement and playing needs work. There was no groove until the bass line kicked in around :32 or so. Bass is a sonic mess and needs to be tamed. Make sure the kick and the bass are complimenting each other, meaning they are not using the same frequencies. Also, do a HPF eq cut on the rhythm guitar up to about 300hz.

Thx ....points taken.   Did you hear any particular diff between the first(#13) mix and the second  (#14)? ...other than likely volume ?  I am trying to gauge what is changing as i do diff things ...its subtle mix wise...not drastic things.  This is just a demo track for a concept song....Im just using it as a gage...but maybe I should record something else with more clarity....i know that bass track was rough cut....all on the quick actually some time ago.    Thx again  ;o)

I like the way it came around (if that's the right term) But I feel left hanging... and I don't know what that means. lol... Maybe I was waiting for it to take off? But demo so... :)

Thx....It really is just the opening of a concept of a piece of another groove I did (same guitar structure..totally diff "thing"....just for the smell of it ....lol.   But now I am just using it as a gauge for improving my (or beginning really) ability to mold the sound of the mix/masters that I do for demo purpose mainly at this point.  That said....what the hey....here's the other  "thing" that is also a concept song that will have a real singer in the future ....again...appreciate your input on the mix...how it sounds on your end ...especially any freq input
    Thanks!  ;o)

2nd Work... :) well the 1st rule of lyric writing is never use the word "Baby"... ;) you used it at least a few times!;)
    Ha!
Well it needs work :) A big problem for me is, even if it's a bad recording, I can hear what's there...
Now go commit to it and finish it! ;) well that's up to you...

    Peace!

lol....thx....it was a quick off the cuff ...totally made up lyrics over the music as they came to me sung into the mic.  it was really just a test to see if/how the cheapo usb mic was working via my laptop.  It was just a fun thing to do....it was to give my Baby Gal a bit of a smile  ;o) .   It worked...lol.
I think it will be a very cool song when completed with a real singer....i have a couple in mind...stay tuned  ;o)

Here's a tip: don't waste too much of your time mixing or mastering something that is a demo track. Get the parts down, find a groove, then move on and/or re-record over the poor takes if there's something else good.
