SPLAT: Can load and engage -- but not open / view / edit -- a particular FX chain preset

As per the title -- I have created a FX chain preset, by assembling the chain and then saving it under a unique name, as usual. When it's engaged I hear that it's doing something, but I've forgotten what's in there. Normally, double clicking on a fx chain from the Console view opens it up for inspection, tweaking etc. But this one doesn't open anywhere that I can see. So I can toggle the whole chain off or on, but can't see or change specific component plugs / their parameters. Very disruptive to work flow as you might imagine. Other chains in the project work as they are supposed to in this regard.

Am I overlooking something basic? Otherwise, any advice?

An FX chain in the FX bin should open by a single click (and when you load it). Also, you should be able to extract the FX chain into single FX from the menu of the FX chain. You also can drag an FX chain to the ProChannel, where you can switch between the controllers and a list of the FX.

The only exception are some of the FX chains by Craig Anderton. They are protected, so you can't look inside or extract the effects. No idea, if it may happen that your own FX chain may be saved in this protected mode.

The only protected ones of mine contain intellectual property that doesn't belong to Cakewalk and for which I signed an NDA, but which we have permission to use.
