Kontakt 5.6 update: BEWARE!

Petition for return to the old key switch colouring:
https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/petition-for-return-to-the-old-key-switch-colouring.309216/

How to roll back to 5.5:
https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/petition-for-return-to-the-old-key-switch-colouring.309216/page-4#post-1532765
I rolled back and all is good.

My reaction:
https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/petition-for-return-to-the-old-key-switch-colouring.309216/page-4#post-1532848

I won't be updating any NI products until this is fixed.
No loss. Everything works perfectly before 5.6 and I'm going back to my militant mind set of "if it ain't broke don't fix it."

I've also contacted support for my 3rd party libs. and asked them to contact NI and tell them users are complaining to them
because the 5.6 update wrecked the intiutive keyboard colors of their libs.

Also I'll be boycotting and not purchasing any libraries that require 5.6 and will be telling the company
exactly why I'm not spending my money on their products.

If they never fix it, NI has officially lost me as a customer.
I need to spend more time acoustic playing guitar anyway.

Something I have noticed too is that the same libraries need me to increase the audio buffer considerably to prevent crackles caused by dropouts...anyone else experienced this?

I didn't keep it long enough to test it in that respect.
I think it would be good if you mentioned this on the NI forum also.

Thanks for the warning, Steve. I was going to grab this shortly, but now I'll wait.

    Scott -
Yea. I'm seeing many other issues also reported at the NI forum.

I updated to 5.6, and I'm all ITB, with very heavy use of Kontakt libraries (Albion, Da Capo, Grosso, Tina Guo Cello and Action Strikes, in particular), and I haven't yet noticed any issues with drop-outs or crackling.

I've been lucky, I guess. Normally, I'm the dude who gets hit with the upgrade bugs, crashes and esoteric error messages. But aside from my dislike for the new keyboard colour system, I've really had no issues with 5.6...

    What Amicus said.

It's working fine for me. I don't like the change in the on-screen keyboard, but it's not a deal-killer for me. Hopefully they'll change it back.

I dislike the change to the key colouring but its not a killer for me.

I did have to recreate a custom Vintage Organs NKI as the keyswitching colours were missing but other than that no issues. Load times seem faster on upside.
