Tomorrow is the first day of Fall, just saying!!

My PC died a month ago. Completely switched to Mac without hesitation because of the recent Cakewalk news.
Using Logic Pro X in the meantime.
But having Sonar withdrawals.. working in Sonar is like playing in my own backyard.

So based on the information available the alpha version of SONAR for Mac will be early if delivered today or late if delivered after Dec 20.

That's a rather dour assessment. Cakewalk and its ilk should be appreciative and welcoming of customers and potential customers who are excitedly anticipating Sonar for Mac.

Did you know "you can still buy a copy of Sonar 8 Producer Edition on eBay for under $30?"

Those are illegal copies of someone selling the serial # and authorization code.  FYI.

I will take your word for it, having no first hand knowledge about the offer. Just thought is was an odd thing for someone to post.

I'm sorry you found it odd. I was not suggesting anything improper. Like a normal person, I don't know what's in a seven year old license agreement with regards to license transfer. Another idea is that the OP of the thread you're quoting from (Mr. Sacco) could try that media with his existing code. He asked for ideas, and the final word from everyone else commenting in his threads seems to be "get lost."

Actually, the OP didn't ask a single question.

Haha - whilst I admire your enthusiasm magik570, unless you have an equal propensity for patience It might be a good idea to install bootcamp and windows on your shiny new Mac for your Sonar fix. As Scook pointed out, McSonar may be released some time over the next three months, unless it is late, and I would add that it is an alpha version with limited plugin compatability, which is quite a distance from a final release.

Will wait.. what's another 3 months? I thought I could get some hints from Scook or Craig. Didn't work

I have no information regarding release dates for Cakewalk products. I am not a Cakewalk employee. All I know about SONAR on Mac has been posted on this forum, the CW website and a few articles like http://www.soundonsound.com/news/free-sonar-os-x-alpha-coming-autumn. To my knowledge no date has been given for the alpha release other than Autumn 2016.

Spotted in the wild...

"noelb"We are working on getting it to the point where we can do a first alpha. Hopefully Nov but we haven't set a date yet. It will be available to every active SONAR user via their account or command center. Thanks for your interest.
