Sorry for posting here but...

I've been working on a project today and have come up against something I have no clue how to remedy.  My midi track for EZDrummer has somehow ended up on Take Lane 1...it seems...and now I cannot get rid of the take lane without losing the main midi track and I can't copy the midi track to another track and my main midi track  for EZD is greyed out and I can't "un-gray" it.  Everything still plays but I can't use the PRV and it's a real pain.  Can someone tell me what I did and how to undo it?

Thanks...

I posted here because you are my pals...I think;-)

I did the same just now and you are correct.  You cannot put it back in the main
track.  What I did was insert another instance of EZdrummer and then "Cut" the
MIDI from the take lane and then "Pasted" it into the Main track on the new instance
of EZDrummer.  I know means losing you settings but that's all I could do to get it
    to work

Yoropal - have you tired saving as a new project, then opening that new project in safe mode, don't load ezdrummer and see if the midi is there? If yes you could then just reload ez drummer and copy midi across - might be worth a try - Hope you get it sorted - Nigel

Larry's solution did the trick!!  Thanks, ol pal.  Don't know how that midi got on the take lane...that's still a mystery.

I am VERY wary of doing some combo of sneezing or my cat walking across my computer keyboard, and then not realizing that one or more shortcut keys have been struck - followed by my inadvertently saving the project.

If I wasn't already quite grayed up, the above would certainly add some highlights to my hair.

I have a question about the midi data in this thread's scenario.  As an alternative - would it have worked to drag the midi track off to the desktop, to create a midi file that could be imported back into a new midi track?

That should work...but easier just to stay in Sonar and do it...

What was weird was I could, as Larry suggested, "cut" and paste the midi...but could not "copy" it...or move it.

I take it that you have MIDI in the track already. If not you could delete the empty track and the take data should goto that track, it will replace what was deleted.
