[SOLVED]How to transpose the MIDI octave so 'CakeWallk SC Bass' can play my Bass MIDI line

The Bass channel in MIDI file is set too low for Cakewalk SC Bass to play it. Although it is fine for TTS-1. I can see that the MIDI is trying to play a note that is not available (bright white) on the Cakewalk SC. Is it possible to set the CSC to transpose the midi up an octave. I really don't want to alter the original midi data. Im just trying to find something that will sound better b\ss than TTS-1. I'm having a similar problem using 'SI Bsss Guitar'.

Sorry if this is a very Basic question. I'm learing as fast as I can :)

Cheers , Paul

In the TV open the Inspector for that track and adjust the octave in the Key + widget.

I'm not sure where you mean...

There is no Key +  so I guess I am in the wrong place!

The Key+ is the top slider pointed to by Q in the image below from http://www.cakewalk.com/D...pectors.3.html#1220713

There is also a Transpose MIDI FX http://www.cakewalk.com/D...lug-ins.3.html#1630178

LMAO. I never even looked at the Pro Channel. I thought it was something to do with the final mix

It is exactly what I was after so a massive thank you :D Its sorted my issue.

I have wanted to do this DAW stuff for ages and its only out of need that I'm forced to learn. I'm learning a little more each day.

A massive thank you for your help guys. If I can get from start to finish on my little projects and understand the basics I am much more likely to understand the benefit of going to the Platinum with updates package.

What Scook has a picture of is not the ProChannel its the Inspector. The Inspector has been in  Sonar long before there was a ProChannel.

In a MIDI track you wont have Prochannel showing in the Inspector.

ProChannel is for audio. It will show up in an audio track's Inspector. To open the Inspector press I on your Keyboard. At the top are tabs that will show different things depending on which tab is active. ProChannel is only one view. To use Sonar Platinum you should be very familiar with the Inspector.

Also use the Help to learn about the different views and terms used by CW in Sonar.

We are here to help and any question about Sonar is fair game.  We do need for you to have some knowledge of the basic terms we use everyday.
