Problems with Win 10 Anniversary update??
Anyone having issues with the Win 10 Anniversary update and Sonar Platinum? My system has always be rock steady, now I'm suddenly getting drop outs and crashes in Sonar Platinum. I am not certain the Win 10 update is the culprit but, it all started around the time I got it. Just wondering if anyone else might be having problems?

1607 reinstalls all hardware drivers when you first use them. maybe something did not work properly there. so try a manual uninstall / reinstall of your audio interface driver and see if that helps.

I started having issues with projects including TH3. Took me a while to figure it out but as soon as I removed that VST from my tracks, everything went back to normal.

At first the only thing I had issue with was Addictive Durms 2 stopped working, but that was an easy fix. Just yesterday though I was having troubles playing anything in SPlat, every time I pressed play I got a some error message, That is until I reset my computer and now everything is working perfect as expected.

One thing I have noticed from personal experience, is that Windows 10 can attempt to install the latest hardware drivers if it sees them available. For Intel based systems, that could be chipset drivers (motherboard features), Management Engine drivers (deals with power settings, etc.), and video drivers if using the integrated Intel HD graphics. If you have any system instability issues, it's a good idea to check with your PC or motherboard manufacturer for their version of the Windows 10 drivers, or check with their support groups if you have any questions. In my case Windows had installed the very latest version of Intel's drivers. I was having trouble with some shutdown's hanging, a few blue screens, etc. My mobo and BIOS are a couple of years old. When I rolled back to my manufacturer's (Asus) driver versions, which were slightly older but still Win10 compliant, everything settled down. I have always heard that the best advice is to never get your drivers from Microsoft, if there is an alternative. From now on, this will be at the top of my checklist after any Microsoft upgrades ...

Curious - what issue did you have with Addictive Drums 2, and how did you resolve? I'm having major issues with distortion, or hanging, specific to AD2. It seems if I increase my buffer, it helps. But didn't have to do prior. Seems also because I split my drums tracks out, vs just a stereo track for all drums (at first blush anyway - could not recreate the issue on a new instrument, simple track, using AD2). No idea if the same issue? But it caught my eye, so thought I'd ask. thanks!

Haven't used splat much since moving to Windows 10. However.... Windows 10 is full of inconsistencies and bugs. The constant updates fix one thing and mess up a dozen others. This morning I logged on and used Edge with no issues. Then I shut down to re-insert my secondary harddrive which I share between 2 computers, and now Win10 refuses to let me use Edge while logged in to the "built in Administrator" account. 1st time for that. The age old "Show windows side by side" issue still looms.
