Sonar Platinum MIDI playback stuttering

All of a sudden my MIDI playback is stuttering and I can't figure out why. The project will play but every single MIDI note is triggered multiple times, making it unuseable. How can I fix this without starting all over again?
 
The problem has only appeared since installing the latest Windows 10 update.

    UPDATE - it's just one file that's having the problem. Other projects play back fine but as as soon as I open this one file I immediately hear some kind of background audio static/stutter (if that makes sense) and the playback is the same.
     
    There's no actual audio recorded, just MIDI triggering soft synths.
