I'll say this though. I'll measure my head for a plugin, but that's where it ends. I won't measure anything else. Besides. I have those measurements on file

What kind of audio device would need to be either 3 and 1/2 inches nearer or farther away from the source or the terminus??

I think you're forgetting about errors due to parallax. Besides, I was in the pool....

James, did you have to measure the diameter of the head or the circumcision?

Measuring the diameter is circumspect.

Sharke - what do you think of the plugin? It was on a deal a while back when I was in a plug buying frenzy and I gave it a go. After about an hour I came to the conclusion it was absolute tripe, producing the sort of sound you'd find in a control room made of perfectly parallel walls of untreated concrete. Some seem to get on really well with it, but I've filed it away under the 'Oops' plugs folder.

I like it, I also have a VRM box but that became too impractical when I switched to an RME interface without an optical connection. I find I have to turn down the amount of room ambience though. It definitely reduces ear fatigue when listening on cans, that's for sure. Sometimes I don't like the "boxed in" feeling you get with headphones and I find I can listen quite comfortably with Nx.
