[Solved] Bug - Most recents projects not udated / bugged on the Windows Taskbar
Hi everybody, I have an annoying bug; My Win10 taskbar is not updated correctly, and I can't delete the old projects in order to have my new ones... I tried to delete all history with CCleaner, but no luck... Any ideas ? edit: added [Solved] to subject line - sc Many thanks in advance.

Have you rebooted?
I've had this occasionally with Win 10, and a reboot fixes it.

Not exactly, when it's working, the last projects I use are updated on the taskbar, and I can click it as a shortcut... Now, the list (see photo on the first post) is a very old list of last used projects, it does not update itself anymore...

Yeah, it's been a month since it stopped updating the list.

What about the switch in "Settings" > "Personalization" > "Start" > "Show recently opened items in Jump lists on Start or the taskbar". Has it been turned off? If not, does it make any difference if you turn it off and the turn it on again? Maybe even with a reboot in between?

Hum... I can't find the "start" in the personalization section.. Is it a feature used in Sonar Platinium ?

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. It's a setting in Windows 10 under "Start" > "Settings" > "Personalization" > "Start" > "Show recently opened items in Jump lists on Start or the taskbar". You might also have to switch on "Show recently added apps" on the same page if it has been turned off. I have personally no problem seeing the most recently opened cwp files when right clicking the SONAR Platinum icon in the taskbar. The list gets updated the moment a project is opened in SONAR, and that's regardless if I open it from the Start Screen, select File > Open, or pick it up from the list of last used projects. If the suggested steps above doesn't help, then I have absolutely no idea as to what might be the problem.

Jump lists aren't stored in the registry. They are here: %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations Copy the path into the Run dialog or the Explorer address bar. You could delete all the files, or try to find the SONAR one. They are binary files but if you open them in Notepad the linked file paths can be seen.

My problem is solved, but I'll keep in mind this useful path ! Thanks again !

Glad to be of help. BTW: it's always good practice to flag a problem as solved by updating the title of the thread. As this isn't a Sonar bug but a Windows setting, I would recommend you change it to "[Solved] Most recent projects not updated on the Windows Taskbar"

I think an admin already did for me. Cheers.

Anyway, it would be really healthy if we all could avoid crying BUG! at the slightest problem. I think this forum is doing a great job identifying and tagging real bugs, so reporting a problem for peer review should suffice. Just saying...
