My 2016-2017 resolution
No more compressors. No more EQs (well maybe AIR EQ by FG if it goes on sale for $79). No more Reverbs (well, maybe after LX480 or Slate's new Reverb  ). No more strum engines. No more DAWs (isn't 4 enough?). No more amp sims. No more piano libs (except EZKeys). No more Loop Loft. But...... Probably more drum samples......  Only upgrades and updates to existing packages such as K12U (skipping K11U as K10U is good enough for now).

that's the way to do it - with Komplete I only purchase every other upgrade - much better value for what you pay

I'm still on Komplete 8, plus whatever instruments that have been added to Ultimate that I actually want as they go on sale every Black Friday. At some point, I'm sure I will have to upgrade, but who knows, I may be able to just upgrade the stuff I need as I need it, lol.

My mantra is simply this: "I will never, ever, EVER!, buy another compressor" (or EQ or reverb for that matter).
I've wavered off of this resolve as killer Larry-found items pop up, but I'm on the same wavelength as Bapu for 2017. Of course, that gives me the rationale to grab a few more things during the holiday sales.
Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

I say it, I mean it, and fail constantly... sometimes feel it's a stress related dysfunction living in the bay area.
Looking forward to being jobless in northern idaho...with a close to zero cost of living, that should cure the problem and result in lots more creative output!
