Error message when scanning plug ins after the new lifetime update.

Hi guys,
I've contacted support but am not optimist given what I read about the new response mechanism in the forums.
Here's my problem:
I updated to the newest build yesterday.  After installing my Slate FG-x plugin fails to load.  Upon scanning my VST plugins under the Plug In Manager window I get the following error message:
"user privileges insufficient to start a low level driver"
Huh ...?
Anybody got any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark.

A quick shot in the dark. Are you running Sonar as an Administrator?

Hmm... good question.  How do I found this out?

Hi. Right click on the SONAR icon, and choose properties. You can change it there, under the compatibility tab.
    All the best.

    Thanks guys.
I selected Sonar to run as the Administrator.  Scanned the VST Plug Ins again, and the error message changed to an iLok driver issue that didn't occur before the new Platinum update.
    Problem still exists.

If you're on Windows 10 there have been a lot of updates recently.
I only have one Ilok plug (autotune 8.1), and one of the updates
stopped the PACE drivers from running.
If you look in "services" and scroll, find the PACE service and
see if it's running or not. I had to restart the service after one
of the updates. It's been fine since.

It may be possible that the iLok service is going to sleep, like here:

    Hey Klos,
I did go into the services menu and restarted PACE.  Rebooted the computer and rescanned VST.
    Same problem.
I have a phone appointment with Slate today.  We'll see what that does.
    Thanks guys.
Just to be curious, what is your guy's experience with Cakewalk's support been lately?

I've never used Cakewalk's technical support, so don't know personally.
I live in a small town and there's no one else handy doing what I do
with recording studio. I've been able to fix what issues I've had from
this forum and reading a few others. I've had to delve into a few more
things than I really wanted as there is no one else to help in my area.

That said, I think I recall reading one of Noel's posts that they have hired
new people and are starting to catch up in the support business.
Doesn't hurt to send an e-mail and see what happens...

Yes, The PACE I-LOK issue has been giving me the run since I went to 10. About every 3rd time I have to manually start it though I have tried 'auto' and delayed.  Hopefully PACE will jump on this soon.

    Slate tech to the rescue.

    Hi Mark,
I assuming it says, "User privileges insufficient to start a low level driver". This can be fixed using the following article:https://slatedigital.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/218732698-License-Error-Initialization-Error
OR you can update FG-X to the following version: FGX 1.4.0.4 Win Installer
    Regards,

Problem solved after installing new Installer and rescanning VST plugins.
    Thanks everyone.  Cool community.

Try running PACE under services with delay. This is an optional way to run iLok.
