LP MB, LP EQ and Midi Dropouts

Hi, guys!

I recently started using the LP EQ and LP MB, they work great! But, at the same time I noticed an unpleasant thing: when using them, i have dropout some MIDI notes during playback and export.

Sometimes the problem is solved, if I switch to a low precision. But it works only if the project contain 1 or 2 LP plug-in instance. Also it helps freeze the sampler (eg, superior ), but it is very inconvenient.

I think we should talk about the load on the system. It is very, very low. My I7 3770 is loaded not more than 10% on each core. Just ASIO buffer size is large enough to not feel absolutely no problems in any project (before I install 1-2 LP instance, of course).

Has anyone faced with similar?

Not at my daw, but have you tried increasing your MIDI buffers? Called something like MIDIPrepareBuff, or some such.

Sorry not to be more precise, but bit hectic here and not at daw to check.

First thing to appreciate about the Linear Phase plugs is that they are primarily intended for use on a single stereo track when finalising or as some call it mastering.

JB101's suggestion of increasing you MIDI buffers will help and also turning off the linear phase precision in the plugs.

Freeze your MIDI tracks before exporting and raise your ASIO or WDM settings

But it works only if the project contain 1 or 2 LP plug-in instance.

Which implies you are attempting to run your project with 3+ instances.

These plugins weren't designed to work this way.

Freezing may be one option, but I would seriously look at using different plugins which are less CPU intensive

Hmm. I thought it was the most common Linear Phase plug-ins. Ok, I will look for a replacement. Thank you!
