Bugfix:"Superfluous snap offset after stretch clip..." Big, BIG thank you to Bakers
Craig Anderton hinted this fix was coming in a thread I cannot find anymore right now. And I wondered, "can it really be?"
This bug was never a show-stopper, but I always had to remember to re-set the Snap Offset on all audio clips I would stretch/shrink otherwise the snap-to-grid would behave erratically.
I was actually beginning to wonder if this was even fixable due to inevitable rounding when stretching and shrinking.
Well, it really has been fixed!
Sonar post-processing editing has just become a little bit more fun and a little bit less chore.
It's turning out to be a good weekend.
BIG, BIG Thank You, Bakers!

For anyone that's interested, Snap Offset has been around like forever. The bug arose in Sonar 6 (I think) when Stretch/Shrink was introduced as part of AudioSnap. The interaction between these two seemingly unrelated features was not picked up at the time.
You can reproduce it by recording some seconds of audio (silence will do) and splitting it in two (Alt + snip)
Open the clip properties and notice that the Snap Offset of both clips is 0 (as it should be).
Now stretch the second clip a little (old: Ctrl + drag the right edge of the clip. New: Ctrl+Shift + drag)
Now notice the second clip's Snap Offset is no longer zero. You may even notice a little offset flag has appeared in the clip itself.
Well, this is no longer a concern and my mind is free to concentrate on the issue at hand. Fantastic!
