I'd also like to see what people think of it compared to the Native Instruments VC-2A. I have both and I can't make up my mind. I think I prefer the VC-2A for basic leveling, but I think the CA-2A sounds better for leveling high frequency content (when the screw is turned).

Thanks for reminding me that I have NI's VC series in Komplete Ultimate. Softube did a nice job on all 3, plus NO iLok with NI!

I'm always puzzled by "dislikes" - unless something is very controversial or poorly executed. Like those people who "dislike" cute kitten videos. I can't imagine what kind of black hole their existence must be for them to spend their time watching things that they hate on YouTube.

I just know my Cakewalk version doesn't have an upgrade plan whether it's updated or not.  The Cakewalk version as a Reason RE is quite popular among Reason users.

I've worked with/on the original hardware and I own Waves and Cakewalks versions. Every one is different but they all have similarities. If I could only have one of them the hardware would be my last choice because all the emulations have more features and work well. I can't hear the magic of the hardware units, although the owners go into withdrawal if they are parted from their vintage LA-2A for more than a couple days.
