Hey, Guys,

It's been a while, but I'm really looking forward to catching up to see what everybody's been up to!

Here's my annual contribution to the Halloween posts here on the forum from almost three years ago.  I know some of you have heard it before, but I hope you like it!

"The Dark" Video from the "Light and Shadows" album.

I'm not sure I remember this one...   but glad I listened!     Good stuff there, Bob - rockin' Halloween.   Everything sounds loud and punchy as usual!

Hehehe... I just happened to switch back to the video during the multiple candle part - that was a great visual to go along with the lyrics.

    Great song and video, Bob-O!
Seems as though the video goes out of sync with the music here and there but no big deal. I also noticed a cut in the guitar's volume when the drums entered....like a massive compression thing going on.  Just small nits. Overall great stuff!!!

Big thanks for taking time to check out the video and for your encouraging comments, truly appreciated!

Glad you caught that candle bit and got it, I wanted something that tied in with the feeling of the lyrics during the acoustic guitar break and it seems to have worked out.

Thanks again, Steve and have a great night!

    Hey, Scotty,

Thanks so much, buddy, I appreciate you checking out the video and your very kind comments!

I won't be making any more changes to this one though, because the album and video were already released three years ago, so at this point as they say, "it is what it is", LOL!

Although, my brand new third album, "Unchained" was just released at Midnight today, so if you get a chance, please feel free to check it out!

You and the rest of our helpful friends here on the forum, are always fantastic with input, advice, suggestions and support, so, I always put a thank you shout out to the Sonar Forums in the liner notes of my albums in gratitude.  The people here are always very generous with honest opinions and great ideas on how to fix up a mix, polish things up and add better quality to production value, and I truly am appreciative of input of any kind from all our friends here on the forum!

Thanks again, Scotty, and have a super weekend!

I think this is my favourite song of yours Bob, very well written and arranged, it's got it all going on. Listened to it a week or so ago on your new website (which is great too). You've really nailed the drums now, very tight and powerful.

I don't remember this one Bob, but I certainly will now.  The video is really nicely done with excellent effects.  Of course your playing is excellent and the mix, to me, sounds like a pro job.  What got me this time is your lyrics.  Upon reflection, you usually have very good lyrics and they fit well with the music that you are playing.  Your vocals also enhance the lyrics.

Brilliant job my friend.  Good luck with the new CD.

    Hey, James,

It's really great to see you back around on the forum, and to hear some of your cool, innovative music here on the forum again!

Big thanks for taking time to check out the video, and for your very encouraging comments!  You're another one of the many good guys here that really helped me out with tons of really great, specific input, advice and suggestions that streamlined the learning curve on mixing and production, and I'm very thankful for your friendship and support!

LOL, Yep, for about 12 years I've gotten into custom paint jobs on my guitars, and this one always looked really cool on stage because the skull would change colors with the stage lights and appear to glow as I moved around.  It was a cool effect.

By the way, nice work on your new Halloween post "Crypt", cool stuff, and it's making me seriously consider the last few days of my discount on Neutron.  You certainly seemed to find it useful and you mix sounded great!

It's really great to see you back on the forum!

Thank you so much for taking time to check out the video, and also for your very kind words, greatly appreciated!

I also just want to mention that I thought your latest post, "End of Watch" was excellent, and a wonderful, fitting emotional tribute to the loss of your friend. Great stuff, Mike!

Thanks again, and have a super weekend, buddy!

    Thank you Bob!
Being away for a bit makes me realize just how great the music is from everyone on this forum!  Your stuff has always been excellent!  Thanks for sharing
