Tab view.

Is there any way to show a tab view of what is being played the same way we can see the staff view.

Thank you in advance for any help.

A little more explanation of what you are asking?

Use the Edit Menu for the Staff View and select Layout...

The Staff View Layout dialog box will pop up - check the box that says Display Tablature.

or, alternatively, under the staff view Edit Menu, select Quick TAB.

Thank you GuitarGuy. I am using Sonar X3 Producer and for one reason or other the DISPALY TABULATURE or QUICK TAB and not highlighted and I cannot access them. I have to say that the track I am trying to have the tabs on is not a guitar track but a keyboard track. Would that make a difference?

    Thanks

John, I am not an accomplished musician. I dabble and play around.
What I am trying to do is, having a keyboard track, I want to be able to get the tabulature  of the keyboard notes so I can play them on my guitar. I seem to have seen this done somewhere but I cannot remember how and where.

    Thanks

Like John, I saw your thread yesterday and wondered the same thing (need more info).
but if it has to do with Staff view, im useless here. don't even use it.
    thanks for the explanation though.

In Staff View, right click on the Treble Clef image and choose Layout > Display Tablature

Gerry - I can't reproduce your problem in Sonar Platinum. I can bring up tab view even on an audio track, or on a MIDI track containing only notes that cannot be played on a guitar, or on a track containing no events at all.

Perhaps someone with Sonar X3 might be able to try.
