LOU Caconym collaboration with Synkrotron
https://soundcloud.com/or...-caconym-collaborationI downloaded LOU Caconym, a very nice ambient track by Andy (AKA Synkrotron), and expanded on it with his kind permission. It's 6:26 min - I didn't have time do the whole 14 minutes. I added three tracks, all Omnisphere 2. Thanks for listening.

Hi Bjorn, Listening now... Your additions change the outlook of the piece and give it a slightly lighter "complexion" I thank you for taking the time to play with my original piece Perhaps when you have more time we could work on a much longer piece? cheers andy

Hi Andy Thanks I tried two, maybe three different moods on my contribution, from somber to more upbeat. Also, I tried not to step all over your track but I think I did in a few places. I have to admit I was using the wrong tempo on this project so I had some sync issues. I'll have to redo it when I get the time. Sorry 'bout that.

Very interesting. You guys work well together. I did notice that one of you said "we should work on a longer tune", somewhere there. This is almost 7 minutes. That is the difference between younger electronica guys and older blues/rock/alt guys like me. ATTENTION SPAN!!! I do look forward to hearing more. hey, Andy, did you send a track to me (that I asked for) about a year ago? I found one here and it sounds good. Let me know. Nice work on this tune by both of you.

Hi Warren, yeah, I remember that, and I feel just a touch embarrassed about it. You sent me a vocal idea, which was great, but I couldn't take the whole idea any further. I agree, it sounded pretty good, and even rocky, compared to what I normally do. Not even sure I could call it writers block... I just ground to a halt and then went of on a massive tangent... I have been back into the project a couple of times to see if I can carry it on, but to no avail. If that ever changes, I will be back in touch, for sure cheers andy

Yeah.. that works! In my mind, a good collaboration doesn't necessarily sound like separate, distinct pieces, and this sounds like it goes together.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I've never collaborated with anyone before and doing this was a challenge but also a lot of fun.

Andy, no problem on the track. I was afraid I had dropped the ball.
