It's not grounding , looked into that. It's just got a million hours on it. It was the PA amp for my friends system for 20 years or more. It was asked to do things like drive 6 very inefficient 8 ohm speaker cabs and amazingly never blew up. In those day's people believed if you were not loud enough , you just kept adding speakers. A power amp was not important.
For now I just found a real good solution. This weekend visit to the Goodwill scored a 1989, made in Japan, Kenwood KA 86 integrated amp. Excellent shape and working now with no noises in my system. $ 24.99. problem solved.
I think next move will to be add a set of powered monitors in parallel to the NMS10's.
Bonus about the Kenwood is it has the ability to run 4 speakers with the A_B system. I will set up my Paradigm's
