How to assign a key binding to "Split"

Hi,
I'm using Sonar X1 and I wish to assign the key "S" to function as "Split". To be used in the global track view, and to have the same function as right-clicking on a clip and choosing "Split" from the pop-up menu there. I've used the Preferences -> Key bindings page to create several other personal key bindings, but for the life of me I cannot find "Split" on the menu of things that keys can be bound to. I've searched high and low, up and down that list of functions. Can anybody help? Thanks in advance.

im not sure there is a key binding for the Split context menu.
maybe someone else knows of a way. if it is in the key binding list though, it should be listed as "split context menu"

    That's a long time ago.

    These Days s does split.

I don't remember it not working.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

S still splits. I believe he wants to have the Context split menu instead of actually splitting the clips with S.
(right click choose split=there a split menu with many options, split at each marker, split at selected points,Exc)

Thanks, Chuck. I don't think I've ever used this split dialog before.

its all good  you wouldn't even notice it unless you right click to see the context menu.
TBH, I hardly ever use it. I just use "S" to split my clips up. but once in a blue moon I will split a clip up and need a few extra options. (like "make a split at every marker") that feature is handy.

Ha..learn something new every day. I was also a "S" split only guy and never even noticed that set of split options in the context menu. That could indeed be handy. Thanks!

I use the Split context menu for "split at selection." Very helpful.
