Clicks added to start of track on bounce to tracks

On a project I have been working on I have noticed that when mixing down the midi and audio tracks to a single audio track, there is a fairly loud click at the end of the mix down that picks up all audio FX and writes that noise to the first few seconds of the new audio track.

On this project I can get around this by fading in the audio but that won't work every time. I have a hunch that this is linked to the FX bin somehow. Anyone else experienced or resolved this? I have never noticed it until recently and I always tend to use a broadly similar work flow on my projects.

Thanks

Andy

Sonar Platinum, Win10 Pro 64-bit, 16Gb RAM, Six-core AMD, Twin SSD. Instruments: Roland A88 and Taylor 314CE all through a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4. More ambition than talent.

Hi. I have had this happen before. I used to stop / start the Audio Engine, and let the sound die out before doing a mixdown. Hope it helps.
    All the best.

@Ken good tip thanks I will try that. Yes @Chuck I did check to make sure there was no dead space at the start of the track that might be the cause.

    Thanks for the replies

I think Chuck was thinking that might be the issue. Try starting (all) project(s) at measure 2.

that's exactly what I meant (thanks Ken :-)
I believe we were talking about this a week. try starting your projects one measure in.
(at 2:01 rather than 1:01) sometimes the audio engine needs time to start and can either:
    A-produce a clipping sound
B-cut off a few milliseconds of material.

Ah I see, yes that makes sense to start at the second measure, although stopping and starting the audio engine also fixed it. Thanks guys.
