Issues with Slate subscription...

I finally broke down and decided to give the $14.99 per month subscription from Slate a go for a year.  But when I tried to sign up it told me I already had a subscription (the free trial I guess) that had been de-activated in January of this year...but that it was the $24.99 one.  Plus it wouldn't take me from the "review order" screen to PayPal.  I tried clicking through to PayPal and got a screen saying that I was agreeing to let Gobbler debit my account monthly.
Slate I would have no problem with...but Gobbler??  They seem to be dimbulbs and untrustworthy.

Is this how it works?

Hip me, will ya?

You pay Gobbler, Gobbler pays Slate...

That's just how it works...

If you have the Demo, then there should be a "re-activate" option,
and, when you click through it will ask you if you want the $14.99 plan
or not...

Gotcha.  But I don't have a "demo" of anything.  I think what is showing up is the free extension trial thingy that slate did depending on how many of their plugs you already owned.  I've never demoed anything from them.  I'll put in an email to sales/tech and see what's up.  I just want to make sure I'm not going to be automatically put on the $25 per month plan.  Did I mention Gobbler sucks:-)

That would be it.  Log into Gobbler on the Web, not in the app, and then
click on Manage Subscriptions...and there you will find your free one and
the option to "reactivate"

OK...I'm in the middle of downloading, upating and installing the Pro Bundle and my opinion of Gobbler still stands.  Unintuitive, confusing and, really, unneeded process.  I'll keep ya posted.

I have sort of given up on Slate - on my system for some reason, they were never the most stable of plug ins!!
So now the only one i use and that's rarely is the drum sampler  - and with this they have not updated it nor have they ever provided the promised extra midi loops etc as far as I know, so not that happy with that one either!!
VCC and FG-X never worked great - Have tried the virtual Mix rack but couldn't work out a way to upgrade the VCC or FG-X cheaply (or at all in fact!!) probably me but life seemed to short to try and figure out what to do with them!!

Finally got everything downloaded, installed and updated and everything seems to be running hot straight and normal.  Now if that Distressor plug will just get released;-)

PS: Also got that $1 buck Xpand2 special.  Wasn't expecting much...but that little scudder ain't half bad.  Will definitely come in handy.

I'm not olpal but I love it and sold Valhalla Plate because of it, now selling Valhalla Room and Softube's TSAR-1R.

Well...unfortunately I never sell anything...but my initial reaction to Slate's Reverb is totally positive. It is understated...which is great in reverbs. Plus the interface is dead easy to use and come up with perfect ambiences and reverbs for the job at hand. Two thumbs up...and one big toe for good measure!
