Time tracking for time spent on each project (and saved versions)

I would really like to have an automatic timer that logs how much time I have spent working on each project and saved versions of it.  Similar to how Steam logs time spent playing a game, this would really help budget time better as well as see which types of projects take longer.

    Good idea - in the meantime take a look at this ("Project Time") freeware vst from Hofa - works great in SPlat here. https://hofa-plugins.de/en/plugins/4u/

    Take a look at Project>Info>File Stats
     
    It shows editing time, saved versions (Revisions) and more.
