Anyone using Vienna Instruments? SOLVED

I'm using the latest Platinum and the latest  Instruments and when I try to save a preset, I can't input it's name. It's like Sonar is stealing the focus. If I hit the letter G, the Go To box pops up, instead of the letter G showing up in the name. Is this a Platinum bug?

Enable the allow plugin to use all keystrokes option - it looks like a small keyboard button in the right top corner of the plugin window.

That solved the problem. Actually the feature is called "Give all keystrokes to plugin" Which at first sounded like even after I put the focus back on Sonar that all the keystrokes would be high jacked to Vienna until I turned that keyboard button off.

That didn’t happen all the keystrokes are back to Sonar once minimize the Vienna window. This is the first plugin that I’ve run into this problem with. In fact Vienna in the past didn’t have this problem. The default behavior in Sonar was to allow keystrokes in the plugin for saving presets, etc.

I’m puzzled is this a bug that Platinum no longer defaults to this? Or was it something that changed in Vienna with later versions that required this? I made my Vienna presets many years ago and the last time I updated one was 3 years ago, when I had a different computer, using Sonar 8.5, and XP. So do you know when this default behavior changed?

Thanks for saving me a lot of time,

Hey Gerry.
I have only run into this issue once over many years, and if I recall correctly it was with VSL shortly after moving from Win 7 x86 to x64.
I guess there is a slim chance it is something to do wth a recent update, but if that were the case I would expect to see a whole lot more chatter about it. I wouldn't be too concerned:)

Are you currently using Vienna Instruments? Have you checked to see if you have to click on that keyboard also? I'm currently using Platinum 2016.09  I just updated to 2016.10 and same bug.

No. Currently using Kontakt/Berlin Strings as my goto symphonic string library. I used VSL for a couple of projects that a client brought in some time back.

I just updated to 2016.10 and same bug.

Even if you do need to enable the 'give all keystrokes' button, I wouldn't call that a bug. That's what it is for!
