Record Metronome To Track

Hello All,

Play in a 5 piece midi band with a drummer. I have creating my own click tracks by putting in midi not numbers and recording it into a track. Is there a way for me to record the audio metronome that is built into cakewalk into a track. It would save me a ton of time. I am using a presonus studio 192 as my audio input device. Thank all.

Regards,
Mark

You can record the metronome to an audio track (output the metronome buss to an aux track), but honestly, midi is faster. Even one bar, you can right click and enable Groove clip looping... the corners will lop off the clip. Then zoom out and drag the right edge of the clip as far as you need.

If you use midi to a VST religiously, you can also right click to "Save as track template" so in the future only the midi notes are needed (and you can save a 4-bar groove clip to the media browser too).

ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.
