Removing Measures

Hello Again,

Having a heck of a time with X3. So I put a 2/4 measure at measure 1, I put a 4/4 measure at measure 2. I do this so I can get into the tune quicker and the DAW has time to trigger the midi correctly. However as you probably know its going to move the song for starting 3.1.000 to 3.3.000. I have tried everything I can think of to delete the two measures that is off and it will just not slide the material to 3.1.000. I have done Delete Special and to delete the whole but its a no go...Does it like clock work on Sonar 5 producer edition....sigh.

Rather than insert a measure, maybe insert a tempo change at measure 1 and then put another tempo change at measure 2 - that tempo being the main tempo of your track.  I have had to do this, on occasions, to allow a MIDI device to respond to sysex before the song starts. In my case the tempo change at measure 1 is slower than the main tempo.

At least this way you are not mucking around with meter changes.
