As the year draws to a close the insidious tendrils of winter creep into our lives, the wind blowing its chill through our bones. Our only hope is hope and the songs of the few birds left that fill our leafless trees and sky's with their song. Very nice, Wooks. The lead has just a bit of an Asian vibe, so almost a Tomita-ish feel to it. Overall it's not quite the dead of winter, but those icy pads sure are getting cold...

I really like this, Wookiee ! It's stark yet soothing in its stately regular movement through minor chords. It conjures up cold, but offers warmth via the flutish birds who are preparing to endure the winter with us. Very evocative and thoroughly interesting to listen to.

Nice the way the song builds so smoothly, though I thought the ending might be a tad abrupt. You selected really nice instruments all around and they fit together well. Well done!

Hi Wookie, I haven't had much time lately, but I'm glad I caught this piece. It is an appropriate mood piece for this time of year. You could probably do one song for each month of the year for a concept album. It's a little different than what I expect to hear, but I like surprises.
