Film scoring question

Does anyone doing film scoring have any suggestions about track arranging, to allow Main Mix plus the inclusion of "stems" to be sent to a film editor. I'm using Sonar X2.
Would stems best be buses, or separate mixes added to the package?
Also when setting up a template, do you use separate audio track for each MIDI track (usually 32 tracks), or do you find that suitable audio buses with one stereo out are generally sufficient?
I'm trying to make up for the fact that I don't yet have that gigantic monitor that I have been "lusting" after.
Thanks, Jack the Quiet Bear

I think you should ask your client what mixes they need...The video editors I've used in the past didn't need stems except for maybe a sound effect track
