--> OH HOLY NIGHT
Hey everybody. My friend Dawn came over and recorded this beautiful seasonal piece, and I added the synths, timpani, strings and cymbals. I used Sonar Platinum and mastered with iZotope Ozone 7. (Not crazy about what Soundcloud did to it though...) The piano was recorded freeform with no set tempo or quantizing, so adding some of the parts was a bit tricky. The piano is Kontakt's "The Maverick", tweaked by me. Strings are Cakewalk Studio Instruments (cannot believe how good they sound!) Hope you like it. Feel free to comment and download. Here it is: https://soundcloud.com/tbosco/oh-holy-night Cheers and Merry Christmas!

Nice.... and one of my favorite classic Christmas songs.
Nice version and arrangement. I recall playing this at a Christmas evening service at our church many years back. I played a simple acoustic guitar version and a lady in the church sang it. This lady was as close to a professional operatic singer as one could get off of Broadway. Her voice would send chills down your spine, she was that amazing. And she nailed it, along with the high notes..... lovely song.

Very nice! Good job adding the arrangement to a free-form performance, everything seems to blend well. And yeah, if you hadn't said those were the SI Strings I never would have guessed. Loved the changes towards the end.

Wow. You went over the top with this one. I like it a lot. Reminds me a bit of the Carpenters version.

With those tympanis going, this is a majestic version of one of the greatest melody of all time. Congrats, Tony and Dawn!
