Slate Digital pre-packaged Friday Deal.

Has anyone seen the Slate Digital pre-Black Friday sale for current customers? If I am reading it right, it looks like for the listed Price you get a lifetime license for one of the chosen plugins and a year of the everything bundle. Is that what anyone else is reading too? Are you thinking of doing this? If so what plugin would you take the lifetime license on?

I'm still on the fence on the Slate plugs, are the VCC'S and Tape that much better that what we get in SPLAT?

It's an email olpal.

You'll prolly get one before the day is out. I got mine early this morning. Since I was gonna do a year anyway, this sealed the deal. $149 vs. $179 (all up front though ) and you can pick any Slate plug for a perp license. Verbsuite here I come.

Only good for the next 72 hours though.

Got the same email. Seems kinda familiar -- you get a year of the Everything bundle plus a permanent license for one plugin, all for $150. Says the price is specific to the customer, so posting a link might not work. But if you're in the Slate system, you'll most likely get the email.

I might be suffering deja vu, but I think there's been a similar deal offered before. Regardless, it's Slate, so there will be more deals in the future.

I personally had a problem with the whole Gobbler thing so I'm not inclined to bite on this. But if you've got it running smoothly, it looks like a good deal. Just remember that unless you continue your subscription after the year is up, you'll lose access to the plugs, other than the one you chose to buy.

Speaking of that, the new reverb looks like one to consider. Lots of good reviews.

Cheers,
Eddie

I'm more into the VMR, Verbsuite and FG-X to be honest. myolpal likes the VCC. Tape is tape is tape to me so I cannot offer any opinions there.

Eddie, they have more or less elimited Gobbler for DLs. When something new comes up they send an email that takes you to a DL page now. EasyPeasy.

You mean no Gobbler installation is required for the subscription? If so, I might have to rethink this.  :-)

That part I'm not sure of but I have not had to use Gobbler to download install files since Verbsuite was released.

I didn't have to install Gobbler to get the subscription a couple of weeks back.  It sure looked like I would need to from the docs, but Gobbler wouldn't install for me, and when I contacted support they told me I didn't need it and could just download it and register it to my iLOK.  I thought it strange the docs made it sound like you need Gobbler, but was sure happy to get it to work without it.

They call 'em fingers, but I've never seen 'em fing.

You can have the perm if you wear the shoes.
