Get ME out of here
This "I'm a Celebrity" thing on telly getting me down already. What total drivel, can't change channels because others want to watch it. Every ruddy night for weeks.

I'm with you Glyn. In fact any TV 'talent' show or much anything with "celebrity" in the title is a complete turn off for me. I'm happy to say that mindless banal rubbish like Bake-off, Strictly, X-Factor, Big Brother and I'm a Celebrity are never allowed to waste a single pixel of my widescreen. I happily donate to stuff like Children In Need and Comic Relief, but that's in spite of and not because of the wannabe attention-seeking publicity-hungry 'stars' that populate the obscene TV spectacles associated with these good causes. It's so sad that most people seem to accept this dumbed-down-to-the-point-of-vacuous-idiocy as acceptable entertainment. Remember, this is the country that has allowed Joey mister-no-personality thick-as-pigsh1t Essex to become very rich simply because of his denseness, and his apparent unwillingness to do anything about it.

[Insert country of your choice]'s Got Talent. No, they simply have a bunch of whiny, spoiled, pampered t**ts that need to be properly disciplined, sent back to school until they actually have learned something and taught that earning something is far more rewarding than just being handed it. I still remember this joke where a guy dies and ends up in the afterlife at a casino. He thinks "Cool!" and goes off to play some games. The first one he tries he wins at and he's all chuffed and goes over to try another. First spin of the roulette wheel and... he wins! This continues with every game he tries until he starts to get annoyed. Finally, he realizes that there's no chance to lose and he yells to the sky "I never thought Heaven would be so boring and unfulfilling!" A voice replies, "This isn't Heaven."
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!

I've devised a show called 'The Burning Question' where Ant & Dec, Joey Essex and Katie Price are locked in a blazing warehouse, and only allowed out if they can adequately explain Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle.

Here's Bill Bailey, ripping those 'celebrities' apart... ''Rancid, leaky vessels of DNA''

And another thing... I've noticed how chat shows/magazine shows have changed over the years. Once upon a time there was a good chance an informed intellectual interviewer might actually pose a few interesting questions to a somewhat interesting person. Now all we get is a string of 'celebrities' pretending to interview other 'celebrities' where the only raison d'être for these programme is for said 'celebrities' to plug their latest book/product/show/venture etc. I know it's always been like this, but not to such an extent as happens now. It also means that the BBC with banal tripe like The One Show are permitted to blatantly circumvent their non-advertisement rules with impunity.

Some make celebrities out of poly tickians. Everything is entertainment, no? Academia is entertainment! Most kids go to school to party and find a mate. The professors realize this. Only 30% of the kids in any class are there to learn. Yes, even at Princeton! :D:D
