Voice Over VST

Any suggestions for the best gating and compression VST's to use for voice over work? I have purchased a DBX 286S pre-amp that I will press into service soon. But, until I have experimented extensively with that, would appreciate your advice on VST's.

    Izotope Dialog De-Noise is one of the most amazing plug-ins I've come across

    Hello brian brock. Excellent advice. I had a bit of a play with a friend's RX4 and, yes, I agree, the Dialog De-Noise was amazing. The RX4 or RX5 suite are certainly on my radar as is T-Racks CS Grand. I wonder if either will do a better job than a hardware device such as the DBX 286S. In some ways, I hope not or I have wasted my money on the DBX unit!!!

    VX 64 vintage channel has a great preset for voice-over or broadcast speech.
