What are best preference settings for X3 using a Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL+ Digimax D8?

What are best preference settings for X3 using a Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL+ Digimax D8?

I want to do everything in 24 bit.  How do get the best quality audio?

Sonar X3
 
Windows 8.1
Lenovo desktop,2TB internal HD, 2 TB ext HD
Intel i7 4790 CPU @ 3.60 GHz-16GB of RAM-64 bit 64 GB based processor
 
Audio Interface:Presonus Audiobox 1818VSL 24 bit,  Presonus Digimax D8 preamp, 16 channels.

    To make sure SONAR projects record at 24bit set the "Record Bit Depth" in Preferences > File > Audio Data.
    I am pretty sure the AudioBox ASIO driver has a fixed bit depth setting.

    What about the other 2 settings right near that, record and render bit depth?

    The Digital D8 has a button on the front I can choose 44,100 or 48,000, internal or external master clock. What should I set that at?
