Soundcraft Signature MTK ASIO and Sonar

Hello,
Has anyone had the following issue with this?
I have installed the supplied drive for the Signature mixer.
When I setup the inputs and outputs there are only the odd channels and no even channels listed.
i.e. channel 1 left right stereo then channel 3 etc.
Physically I found that the channel listed as channel 1 right was in fact channel 2 on the mixer!
I have tried re-installing the driver but got the same result.
Any ideas please.
Thank you,
Alan

    This is normal

    1 Left is channel 1
    1 Right is channel 2
    3 Left is channel 3
    3 Right is channel 4
    ...
    n Left is channel n
    n Right is channel n+1

    Hello,
Thank you for your reply to my question, it is very appreciated .
Would you mind if I ask for more details? I have tried to contact support for help but they are too busy.
I would like to explore the 'This is normal' as this is the first time I have come across this.
    1. Is it Sonar that is allocating the channels in this manner? If so, this is very unhelpful and could it not be corrected?
    2. Is it an 'industry standard' method so it is just my not understanding how things are done?
I contacted Soundcraft UK whose technician said they had not tried this on Sonar and were interested in the answer.
Again, thank you very much for your help.

I believe it is how Windows is reporting the information to SONAR.

This comes up from time to time. I think it's how Sonar chooses to display them as other DAWs do it differently.
There are Feature Requests to change it but not likely to happen.
I use "Friendly names" in Preferences and change them to 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, etc. so they look better to me.
