Plugin Delay Compensation question

Hello!
Just wondering if there is a way to automatically override the PDC feature on a track's playback?

What i mean is, I record a track of an instrument with the PDC button enabled (blue); but then let's say I want to punch in on the track, I have to listen to the pre-roll with the PDC enabled instrument sounding out of sync until I'm punched in. If I turn the PDC button off the pre-roll sounds fine but then when I 'm punched in I get latency in the signal because the PDC button is off. This is especially annoying when tracking a rhythmic virtual instrument.

I can think of workarounds that would require having duplicate tracks set up for monitoring with and without the PDC button enabled but wondered if there was a simpler way. Perhaps a setting I'm unaware of.
Thanks
Jono

Hi. I have no idea, but found this when doing a search.
    https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X2&language=3&help=Recording.23.html
Do not know if it helps or not.
    All the best.
Edit: Found this (perhaps the same?) as well.
