Advices on buying SONAR

Hi everyone,

I'm a student and a musician, and I tried SONAR. I love it, and I just saw they released SONAR Home Studio, a 35$ version of SONAR.
The question is, will it be enough for me, I'm using SONAR to record my drums, and to play along songs with EZDrummer 2 as a VST.
I also tried Drum Replacer and found this tool very useful to delete drums from musics I play.

Is the Home Studio edition will be enough or do I have to consider buying the Platinium with lifetime upgrade before 31st december?

Thanks

You can try the full Sonar for a month and see for yourself.

Here is a comparison between versions of SONAR (including SONAR Home Studio) http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=Comparison.html

Which version you need is up to your requirements. So far, Drum Replacer is a Platinum exclusive. Should it become available for purchase, unless Cakewalk offers a non-ARA version, you would need at least SONAR Artist to use Drum Replacer.

Do I have lifetime updates if I pay Sonar monthly?

No, monthly payment plans do not result in lifetime updates. You will receive updates while making payments. Updates will stop when you stop monthly payments.

I hope you don't mean "Sonar Home Studio," which I had on my XP computer in 2003 or 2004.  Sonar Artist, maybe?

Thanks Scook, i just saw that in another thread.  I had checked the Sonar link off the mail CW page and didn't see anything.  Seems a strange product to re-rollout...

Word on the street is it's replacing Music Creator, which sells for the same price, tho it's on sale right now for $20 while supplies last.
