Nov. Early Release: Synth Rack tab gone and VST Instruments default changed
The docked window I have set up to be displayed to the right of the Track view no longer seems to have an option to view the Synth Rack, showing all the synths you're using in a particular project. All the other tabs (options) are still there, including the plugin list, the media browser, and all the other ones, but not the one I use the most, the Synth Rack.
After spending about 10 minutes trying to find it in the various tabs, I figured out I needed to choose from the VIEWS dropdown menu at the top of the screen, and select Synth Rack. This now opens the Synth Rack windows, but it's underneath the VST plugin instruments window. So now, that pane on the right is now split vertically between the normal tabs and the Synth Rack tab that I just inserted. Did I miss something, or is just the way the latest version is set up?
Also in my VST Instruments list, it keeps defaulting to "by Category" and not the default view that I had setup to quickly manage the view of all my VST plugins under the proper folders. For example, it won't show all my guitar VST plugins under "Guitar" with the default "By Category" view. So I have to switch that to MY customized default view each time I open any project.

I believe that is how it is done now Lee. The good news is that the Synth rack can now be undocked and re-docked wherever you like, including the multidock.

Thanks Bruce, I just thought it was an odd decision to remove the Synth Rack tab from that docked window. If that's what they actually did. I thought I might have missed it, which is why I was asking if anyone else noticed that it was gone.

They enhanced it and move it back to where it used to be in its own view.

I had a rude awakening when I decided to delete an instant of kontakt. Thanks for the heads up.

I quite liked it there too Lee, but I always found it I odd that the synths 'power' buttons were inaccessible whilst it was docked. The only way to disconnect a synth was using the dropdown menu. At least now I can dock it in the multidock on a second screen with all controls visible. I'm sure once we get used to it we will wonder how we lived without it:)
