Antares and SoundSoap
I have used SoundSoap 3, especially on podcasts, etc and found it to be very good. The company Soundness, is now up to SoundSoap 5 and 5+. Now I am wondering if I should upgrade to v.5 before the prices skyrocket, or will there be a sale in the future? I just got an interesting email from Antares: "We are proud to announce that the SoundSoap product line is now an official part of Antares! With this addition, Antares expands its line of audio production products to include audio restoration, further complementing the line of Antares audio and vocal processing studio tools." And now the website http://www.soundness-llc.com/ opens to Antares Noise Reduction Products.

I have Soundsoap 5+ (i got some very good upgrade deals as I had the original Bias (I think) product before Soundness took over) Its OK and I do use it but can be fiddly sometimes to get a really good result. - but I also have izotope RX package and that's very good. But one of the best and I hate to admit it, especially for hiss reduction, as I have deleted every other one of their plug ins off my system, is the old Waves denoise plug ins.! Still find them easy and good. Nigel

Bajan Blue I agree, Rx is a good way to go, my son is in films and that's the way to go for audio. My usage is somewhat low key. I also was one of the original Bias owners back in the day and I think the original developer is the same guy for soundness.
