Drum Replacer Copy MIDI notes not pasting correctly

Last night I updated to Platinum 2016.11 but I seem to have a problem with Drum Replacer. I had a kick drum pattern, applied Drum Replacer then loaded an instance of Addictive Drummer 2 with all outputs selected. I normally then select Copy MIDI notes on the Drum Replacer then paste into the MIDI channel on AD2. But now it would not paste into this lane so I tried again a few times. At first I didn't think anything was happening until I realised that it was actually pasting it into a new MIDI tracks at the end of the project (track 58,59,60 etc) and so then I had to drag the clips back up to AD2 and then go back and delete the newly created MIDI tracks.
Does anyone know if this is a bug or have I managed to change a paste setting somehow,(I even tried Paste Special but I did not get the dialogue box up, it just pasted, again, into a new MIDI lane)

I thought the only way to get MIDI notes out of Drum Replacer was dragging the RegionFX clip onto a MIDI track?  I looked but couldn't find any option to copy MIDI notes.  Am I missing something obvious?

Before pasting, click anywhere on the strip you want as the destination.  That will make it active which is indicated by a different background color for the name control.

Thanks Keith,  I tried this, not only the individual MIDI track, but I also highlighted the whole AD2 (17 tracks or so) but still it just kept pasting into a new MIDI track. I even tried pasting the MIDI file deleting it,(from the newly created MIDI track) then with the newly created MIDI track still active pasting again and it still went into a new MIDI track below it. It is not the end of the world as once it has pasted into a new MIDI track I can then copy again and then paste into the AD2 MIDi track or just drag it into it.

could this be a "selected" versus "focussed" thing?

    just a sec

Not sure, I tried selecting the track in every way I could think of but to no avail, I will try again tonight to see if it has fixed itself.
