Their own FAQ makes it clear that
a) you can't call them, you can only converse via email,
b) they don't produce pressed cds but rather cd-rs,
c) that there is a $50 fee to be on the compilation
d) some of the labels they have claimed to distribute to have never heard of them (although I couldn't find a list of labels or other recipients so they may have had to take such a list down)
d) that "we invite about 25-30% of song submissions to appear on a compilation", which is a pretty high figure considering the volume of crap any site like this must get.
and finally
e) the forum they run has a warning about defamatory or libelous dialogue, so if you complain about anything, they can erase your post and ban you.
This sounds to me like a very carefully framed vanity publishing racket. Like, remember that thing where "You're name has been selected to appear in this year's Most Important People, a copy of which you can have for only $29.95!" Or "Your star name will be recorded in the US copyright office!"
I would run the other way, with my money. There's nothing they can do for you that you can't do for yourself on the internet. Real labels get unsolicited cds in the mail and throw them away without listening to them.
Edit: plus there's at least one painfully obvious spelling error on the site's home page, which, to me anyway, screams 'Hi, I'm Unprofessional!'
