TTS-1 and Virtual Controller In Platinum
Hello one and all, I am curious and I HAVE been trying to find the info on this and been looking about here and there. I do know that I can "drive' ..."trigger" ......the TTS-1 with my external Roland keyboard....However is the Virtual Controller that comes with Platinum able to "drive" ..."trigger" the TTS-1? I have been clicking "this and that" off and on for a few days now (just here and there), trying to figure it out, but haven't had any results. Possibly...LOL! .... I am misunderstanding something. I know enough about MIDI to get myself into trouble. So..... if anyone can lead me down the correct path I truly would appreciate it. Thanks, Donny

Assuming that you are using a simple instrument track: On the Sonar track view (use I/O view) for TTS-1, set the Input = Virtual Controller Ch. 1 (or Omni). Then set output on track view for TTS-1 to MIDI Channel = [pick from 1-16] Cakewalk TTS-1. Use the TTS-1 channel number for the TTS-1 track you want to trigger.
DAW: CbB; Sonar Platinum, and others ...

Hi. You have to change the input on the TTS1 to Virtual Controller to make it work. All the best. Edit: I was too late..

Well.....I seriously must be missing something here. I inserted TTS-1 as a simple track. Set my track view to I/O. Set Input (I) to Virtual Controller..... However..... When I selected the I/O track view I got 3 buttons, Input...Output....and C....which is Midi Channel I set Input to Virtual Controller Output to Master C to MIDI Channel 1 ( I tried different channels ) Still no go. I was wondering though..... Should I not get a sound from the TTS-1 when I hit any one of the preview buttons at the bottom of the TTS-1? I thank you both, very much, for your help. I am working on learning this and trying to figure a few things out on the TTS-1 but, man, I am having a tough go. Being a guitar player is tough sometimes! LOL! Any more insight or advice is GREATLY appreciated. The Twangler

If you are not getting any signal through TTS1, I think there is a routing issue somewhere. I get it to work using the following method showed in this GIF All the best.
