Mix Recall - Floating windows and speed
I think Mix Recall is a great module, but there are a few things that are preventing me from using it to its full potential:
1.) When recalling a mix all floating plugin windows that are open are closed. This is annoying to the point where I stopped using mix recall for plugins. Part of me feels like I am missing a setting because the changes made within these floating windows are stored with the recall, but I haven't been able to find any notes on how to keep the windows from closing on recall. Am I missing a setting, or is this a bug/feature?
2.) Recalling can be pretty slow in larger projects. I'm not running a slow machine yet recall times of 10 seconds are pretty common. This can be frustrating because the sooner you can hear the difference in a mix, the better you can hear the difference. But I didn't just come to complain, I have a technical suggestion =D. It seems that Mix Recall stores and recalls ALL settings for everything regardless of how many settings have actually changed or where they changed. (I'm basing this on the observation that if I change 20 settings across plugins, buses, tracks vs 1 setting it still takes the same amount of time to recall. Also the advanced setting options suggest that this how it works.) Assuming this is how it is actually implemented, I believe it could make the process substantially more efficient if it were able to store and recall only changes that have been made relative to the project's "saved/main" settings - or some other base file.
Thanks
