Question, can you transfer sonar mac work files to and/or from a sonar pc ?

Yeah ive been telling my mac loving mates about sonar for awhile........and now sonar coming out on mac........just wondering if i could collaborate with a mate that has mac sonar if i have pc sonar? 

Windows 10, 64 bit, intel core i7-6500U CPU @ 2.50GHZ  2.59GHZ......12 gig ram ....Sonar lifetime updates, presonus audiobox 1818 interface, and beringer UFX1604 mixer interface/control surface...... All round musician, multi-instrumentalist/songwriter.....attempting to produce good music.....started on music creator 6 2014, bought sonar 2015....and now invested in lifetime updates......Learning always!!!!Thanx cakewalk and online forum

    Hi zargg, can you elaborate, i dont know, doesnt mac use different file types.......or is it all just wave  and midi files?Like if you export out of mac will it import properly? or is it more of a longer file conversion process?

    The problem would not be the Sonar project files. 
    You have to use plugins made for both versions (Mac & Windows). And these versions must be the same on Mac & Windows. Otherwise you get messages of missing plugins.
    Even when you use vst2 on PC1 and vst3 on PC2 you get a message of the missing plugin - although it is the same plugin in the same version.

    yeah right......maybe if we kept the initial recordings dry using no pluggins, cause thats the only reason i would be transfering files between mac and pc, just for layin down the tracks........as in we live in different countries and he has a mac but me and the vocalist own pc's
