Sonar for making orchestral stuff/film score

Hello guys! I want to buy Sonar Platinum with lifetime pass. Do Sonar has great midi features as cubase to produce orchestral music through vst? I tested the demo, it is a light software, i like everything in sonar, but i didn't tested all of its midi features.

another question: Do these rolling updates add free plugins, instruments, effects ? or is it just basic features and bugfixing?

Can you help me to acquire the best for me?

thanks

Welcome to the forums.
Sonar is great for scoring orchestra music, however the staff view might not be up to some users standard.
however using PRV to do so is great. one of my favorite features in Sonar is the PRV.
Not sure about instruments being added in the future updates, I know features have been added at no cost (as well as some like TH3). but beyond that is anyone's guess.

Windows 8.1 X64 Sonar Platinum x64
Custom built: Asrock z97 1150 - Intel I7 4790k - 16GB corsair DDR3 1600 - PNY SSD 220GB
Focusrite Saffire 18I8 - Mackie Control

Thanks! I have read bad things about Staff view. Is there no update for it, doesn't it?

but, in general, is it a good choice for my purpose, right?

Is there a chord assistant (it generates chords to uplift creativity) as cubase?

thanks
