No it is a feature they didn't introduce until later versions.

Hi. Sycraft is right. I believe it came into existence in X1 Expanded.
Here is a comparison of the current products: http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR&language=3&help=Comparison.html

I didn't have that version, Colin I was still rocking SONAR 4 Producer at that time
Went from from that to X3 Quite the jump
I think I remembered you mentioning that in another thread I read...

    Blimey, that takes me back.

Definitely the Pro Channel. It was also around that time when FX chains were introduced.

I really can't remember what was exclusive to the Expanded version, other than the PC

I think Expanded eventually got to X1d?

Pro Channel was introduced in X1 Producer. X1 Expanded added the ability to add more modules.

That's what I thought. But I didn't know for sure. I just didn't want to sound uninformed
(cough, cough, like BJ and ken, cough, cough.)

Im just kidding, I actually couldn't even remember. Sonar X1 Producer was my 3rd purchase from Cakewalk (well 5th but others I don't really count. Guitar tracks, exc) I used Sonar 8 and 8.5 in the studio I worked in and owned Pro Audio 9.0 and HS 6, 7XL.
I've owned all 4 of the X series and I must say, its been a pleasure.

What really matters is that X2 is the patch that made it all better again!

DAW: CbB; Sonar Platinum, and others ...

X1e, (Expanded) was a paid update. IIRC it actually preceded the 'd' update for the non-Expanded version of X1 which was a little confusing:

Yes the version management became soooo difficult to, er, manage, especially when trying to offer advice.
