Sonar X3 will not let me assign an input source

I am using Sonar X3 on a Windows 10 Dell laptop with a Focusrite 18i8 interface.  I have recorded with this exact setup a number of times with no problem, but starting yesterday Sonar will not let me assign an input source.  The dropdown menu doesn't expand to give me the input tracks to assign one - like it always has in the past.  Any ideas why or solutions?  Thanks!  Dave[image]C:\Users\david\Desktop\Dave's Skunkworks\Capture.PNG[/image]

Bump...any ideas.  Could my interface software or Sonar just need to be reloaded?  Is there a Sonar update I should do...or are these bad ideas for any reason that I shouldn't try?

I would power down both the interface and PC.
Re boot both. Sometimes when the Focusrite is on for too long it goes in to a sleep mode / or your PC's port goes to sleep. As I said Reboot both and restart Sonar. FYI, you cant upload pics from your computer here.
You need to upload them to a free hosting site like this one:

FYI- There is an update for Sonar X3 but im not sure this is the problem here. However you want to install the update anyway.
Just search for Cakewalk Sonar X3E update.

Thanks for the suggestions - but no luck.  It is a shared family computer so the interface is not left plugged in or on...I only plug it in and turn it on for short periods when I work on a project.  I tried plugging the interface into every USB port to see if any functioned differently, and loaded the X3e update, but no change.  Here is a snip of the what the menu looks like.  It looks like it may just be corrupted...think I should just reload Sonar?  Is that a difficult thing to try or pretty easy?  Thanks, Dave

the little arrow on the 4th option is black...everything about it looks like it will open the next level menu that used to show all my input options.  But it's gone now...

Open Preferences and look under Audio>Devices. Maybe the available inputs are unticked.

That's what I was about to suggest as well (what Kev said)
Look in Preferences/Audio devices and make sure you have everything checked.

That worked...sort of.  They were all checked so I unchecked them and then went back in and rechecked them and now everything seems fine.  So it looks like something was just corrupted...but at least I didn't have to do a full reinstall...just Fonzie bump it  :-)
