Help with Automation - Omnisphere Controls

I'm trying to automate the controls for Trillian/Omnisphere.  I can tell Trillian to follow one of my knobs (CC16), but I can't seem to get Sonar to let me draw an automation lane that connects to Channel 16.

Please help.  Thanks!

It doesn't give me the option to control this particular parameter from any of the dropdown menus.

Hi mikebeam . . . in PRV view there is an option under "View" to show/hide the controller pane.
You just have to (left mouse) drag it up from the bottom of the PRV.
That's where I've always been able to draw in or edit various controller information in a Sonar midi track.
Then you need to add a new value type. (I see CC16 as: "Ribbon Controller or General Purpose Slider 1")

Not sure which control surface you're using, but I've found that Omnisphere does things differently than most of my other synth VST plugins, there don't seem to be many customizable options in Omnisphere, for my surface at least.

Thanks.  I could do it in PRV, but I generally find automation using the lanes to be easier to edit and smoother.  Especially for instances with when there needs to be a long sweep rather than a particular expression on given note/beat.

    - I generally find that Omnisphere is extremely customizable!  But it's not necessarily very easy to get it to do what you want.  I've had it for a few years now and find that I'm only starting to get a handle on the power and expansiveness of the instrument.  I'm sure there's a way to do it on the Omnisphere end - I'm not sure that Sonar allows you to control CC channels using Automation lanes...
