Platinum template query

Hello All,
Being a newbie to Sonar Platinum, I was tempted to try one of the Rock recording templates.
It looks wonderful, but having worked in track view for over 10 years, I prefer to use the pan slider (instead of the pan knob in console view, which is not a view I use). The problem is that it doesn't seem to appear in track view within the template and I don't know how to make it appear! Can anyone help please?

Thanks in advance,
Ainsley
