Fix for Kontakt 5.6.5(r13) bug of missing libraries
If you had libraries disappear after installing the latest version of Kontakt - try this:
Official steps from NI are further below but this worked quicker.- close both Native Access and Kontakt (if open)
- delete C:\Program Files\Common Files\Native Instruments\Service Center\NativeAccess.xml
- run Native Access. If there is an update - install it, fix requires latest version.
and your libraries should be back.
At least this worked for me, if it doesn't work for you try the official suggested fix below.
Below are the official steps from NI as provided by Bill of Realitone Support.
We received a very upbeat (and apologetic)email from NI this morning! It appears all, or the vast majority of the the affected libraries should be good to go.
To return your system to normal please do the following:
- While they don't specifically suggest it, we think it would be a good idea to uninstall "Native Access" and "Service Center" if they are installed on your system.
- Download and install the most current version of Native Access. (Yes, that's how we got in trouble in the first place, but they say it is fixed. I am unable to confirm that because I am one of the lucky folks who was not affected.) You can get it HERE.
- Run Native Access - that is supposed to be all you need to do.
- If it does not work for you please open a ticket directly with Native Instruments, and email us to let us know
(if you opened this after my initial post - sorry for multiple edits)
Peace out
